Dewa-sanzan,

September 14-16, 2002

(organised by Masako Okamoto)

Although the weather was not always perfect, and one of the cars managed to hold a D-tour to Sendai on the way, all the people on both 2 days and 3 days options enjoyed the peaceful night stay in Haguro-san shrine, and completed the visit of 3 holy mountains. Here are some pictures of Day 1 and Day 2.

Walk on Day 1. On the way to Yudono-san shrine.

At Yudono-san shrine.

Dinner at Saikan, the place we stayed on the first night. Saikan, located in Haguro-san shrine, is an accommodation for pilgrims, but common visitors are also allowed to stay. Note the bottles of beers we enjoyed.

Entrance of Saikan.

Walk on Day 2. On the way to Gassan.

We saw "Rindo" flowers here and there.
